But how's it a waste of time ...

Simply because this is no longer the quickest way to rank. i get around 10-15k exp a match on my main with 270% up when I only get around 8-10k from this method with same time duration. (Down from 20-25k).

It will slow down once you become a certain level. Basically once you hit that point you will need to run experience boosters and actually play non-bot games.
