    Make SystemCheats Available on Linux!

With how greedy MicroSlop is getting lately, many people (including myself) have gone to Linux for respite from privacy breaches, advertisements and AI slop (among other reasons). And while I know it's still a very small percentage of the market, it's growing faster today than at any other point in history.

What I'd like to see for those who have made the switch is official Linux support, OR some instructions on how to best run the launcher within a Linux environment (for example, through Lutris, Bottles, Faugus Launcher, etc). Even if it's not OFFICIAL Linux support, and even if it's ultimately just for one major arm of Linux (such as Fedora, Arch, etc) it would be so nice and refreshing to see a Linux option or some instructions on at least how to get it working on Linux.

I love SC, and have loved it for many years as a premium member. And I'd love to continue using it, but wish it was supported on Linux.

    Thanks for the consideration fellas.

Yeah the amount of time that will take to bother with this vs how many will use is would be extremely stupid.

20 dollar cheat would need to be 200 dollars just to deal with the hassle.

    Not going to happen.

Wow. You realize I'm not the only one using Linux right? Honestly, kind of a shitty response on your part. Been a member here for years, paid for premium most of that time. The least you could have said is thanks for your suggestion as opposed to completely disregarding it. Thanks anyways, I guess. Looks like I won't be renewing.

For what it's worth, I haven't been paying $20. I've been paying over $200 a year to support SC.

Look, I understand you have been a loyal member of SC for years.
    Your support is truly appreciated.
We also recognize your transition to Linux for better privacy and control over your data.

I want to apologize for the previous response you received.
It did not reflect the respect we have for our long-term members.
We should have been more professional in explaining our current position.

The reality is that bringing our software to Linux is a massive technical challenge.
Our current system relies on deep integration with the Windows kernel to ensure everything runs correctly and remains secure.
Rebuilding this for Linux would require a complete overhaul of our core technology.

Linux is also fragmented across many different versions, like Fedora and Arch.
Providing even unofficial support would require constant updates and troubleshooting for a very small number of users.
At our current scale, the resources needed to develop and maintain a Linux version would force us to increase prices significantly for everyone.

We want to be honest with you...
While we hear your request, we cannot justify the development cost at this time.
It is not a matter of disregarding your needs, but a matter of keeping the project sustainable for the entire community.

We value your membership and hope you understand why we have to make these difficult choices.
Regardless of your decision to renew, we thank you for the years you spent with us.

Thank you. This is much more in line with what I was expecting as a response. Professional and to the point, not dismissive and arrogant. For what it's worth brother, I am not special, I know I am not, and I don't expect special treatment. I just wanted to be heard and considered, even though I know I'm the minority and it's not likely to happen. The customer is most definitely not always right, but I'd be lying if I said all my recent interactions with mods were smooth. I wish this is something you guys could look into. This one just made my frustration boil over. The last one I was accused of intentionally abusing the HWID system. I don't need special treatment, but I also don't expect to be treated like this either. I appreciate the understanding and the reasonable explanation.

I'm not really sure what caused you to think that I was attacking you specifically. Let me be clear this was not the case.
While I did not explain the situation to the fullest.
I did gave a no BS response. Which is what I aim to do for every customer.

We always try to be transparent with users around here.
I can give you a glazing answer or maybes all day long for something that in the end of the day won't happen.
Which is what matters. I heard too many maybes in my lifetime that did not happen.
Trust me, getting told "FUCK NO" immediately, saves too much time and hassle, and sets expectations where should be.

Doesn't matter, I personally tried Linux and actively in the been in the space of trying to care about my privacy.
Recently even installed GrapheneOS on my phone.
Regardless of how many you think we are, in the end it's too small of a % in the market for too big of a hassle.
This is what I wanted to convey here.

We are been trying to get SystemFiles to fix SoT for over 5 years.
Do you think we can contain the guy for Linux support.

Doesn't matter once again, I will treat every single customer here the same.

While I do apricate your loyalty, I won't be glazing you in anyway, or give you a separate answer just because you decided to spend X amount over the course of Y number of years.
This would be slap in the face of every other customer, who is here once and paid only 5 bucks for a one day trial to try out one cheat.

    Nothing was disregarded.
It was answered in a brutal but honest way.
Maybe I you expected a longer, detailed answer, that is my bad.
In my head having Linux support is too far of a impossibility, that I did not see a detailed answer required here, clearly I was in the wrong of your expectations.

Since you got your detailed explanation by Psychopath I won't be going into it.

Thank you for your commitment to SC over a decade nonetheless.
