    A Question About Linux

I would post this in a game specific forum since I already have a premium sub. However, I thought this might also benefit my Linux brethren who haven't bought into SC yet, and so I decided to post here.

I recently switched over from Windows 11 to CachyOS Linux (based on Arch). I have two questions:

    - Does the cheat function on Linux (including with the use of Wine or Proton, or something like Faugus Launcher which has Proton built in)?
    - Will I need to ask for my HWID to be reset despite that my hardware is identical to my Windows 11 install?

    Thanks fellas, appreciate your time.

    Hey there,

    Native Linux support, no.
Through Proton and other options, maybe it will, but I cannot guarantee you 100% stablity.
However, I've had multiple customers back in the day using Linux and some Windows environments, which did work.
As for a reset, of course, you will need one.

You are more than welcome to ask for a reset.
We recently changed/eased the requirements for resets: https://www.systemcheats.net/forum/a...ement.php?f=51
    So no worries about that.

Great info. Thank you brother. And yeah a short note on the resets... I'm sure you know I don't cause any issues around here but I was kinda taken aback by an interaction I had with a mod about resets where I believe he was alleging that I was taking advantage of the system when I had changed hardware a few times in a short period of time - so seeing the restrictions ease a little is a welcome sight. In any case, really appreciate the explanation. I can give it a try, and if I find success I might let you know so that maybe we can create a public post about it, which might help other Linux users. Shall I go ask for one now? Or would you just be willing to help me out here?

    You're welcome!
It would be great to know.

Only ask for a reset when you get the error.
