yeah you wont get the true 144hz, I use a 144hz 1ms 1440p asus monitor and the difference is unbelievable you can turn off stuff like v sync and triple buffering, tearing is a thing of the passed + the higher response times and fps = less input lag so everything feels silky smooth, I played some cod the other day on my mates rx480 / 60hz set up I could feel my eyes burning and it felt so "unsmooth"

they have started to release 200hz monitors now don't think ill bother tho think its a bit of a gimmic 144 is great and also when I go 4k wich we all probably will and display port 1.2 only supports 120hz at 4k but I'm sure that will be enough too until the next gen of cards
