    Not to be the bearer of bad news, but you might be set up for disappointment. At their last conference, Intel didn't have many comments in regards to growth or development from here. Unless they have a super-secret trick up their sleeves, chances are AMD will steal the CPU market and run with it.

    You must use that laptop for work or hobby. That's a ton of RAM in a laptop for standalone gaming.

    If you have a 9900k and up your good for some years to come. I personally got the 10700k. 8c/16T at 5.1 is plenty for my 3080 I’m about to get.

    yeah your not gonna see masses off performance differences between the new 5000 ryzen 7 / 10700k / ryzen 9 / 10900k at 1440p 5-10 percent max in ideal conditions, 4k with all the whistles and bells completely bottlenecks the cpu you could have a hamster on a wheel and see no performance difference from any of the new x64 cpus
    Its hard to feel the friction, under water.

    Go with new generation Ryzen. It is far more powerful than Intel and even the lowest model is stronger than the best Intel and its only $300

    be interesting to see how the new 5000 series stacks up with the 6000 series graphics with the direct memory link etc,
